The Canon 7D is a professional digital single lens reflex camera with a range of feature that give a cinematographer a range of options in how their shot looks by adjusting the camera's ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed. The camera also allows for recording in up to 1080p HD at 24fps which are the most appropriate setting for our production.

This tripod allowed us to keep a steady shot to reduce any motion blur thus create higher quality shots, it also enables you to pan the camera slowly and smoothly.
K9 Hague Camera Crane

Camera cranes allow cinematographers to shoot steady and smooth shots from angles that would be otherwise impossible to shoot without the crane, as they can elevate the camera to a higher position with a smooth professional movement. A small monitor can be linked to the camera via a mini-HDMI cable that transmits a live feed of the footage that is being shot, combined while a handle to move to cameras angle the director and cinematographer can produce high quality shots.
Rode Video Mic-R Shotgun

N/A
The Rode Video Mic-R Shotgun is a microphone that is fixed onto the top of the Canon 7D and plugged into its microphone port and is used to record high quality audio. Audio quality is extremely important in any film as the audience will be distracted by any background noise which could disrupt their attention, if we used the 7Ds default microphone actors dialog could go unheard and would be lower quality.

Using lenses with varying focal points is useful for capturing different looking shots, you can get both wide angle lenses and telephoto lenses for different types of shots. Wide angle lenses are lens under 50mm and capture a wider field of view and are often used for shots of landscapes were the cinematographer wants to audience to know the location of the story. Meanwhile telephoto lenses are often used for close ups as they have less field of views. In my case I used two telephoto lenses so I could capture lots of close ups to heighten to intensity of the shots.
